Global technology expansion: Canada and Uruguay on the map for new deployments

6/17/25, 6:59 AM

Expanding the export of CNC cutting technologies requires not only advanced and proven solutions, but also flexibility and an understanding of local market realities. This approach has allowed us to successfully complete new implementations in Canada and Uruguay – countries with different economies, but a shared need to modernize production infrastructure and invest in automation.

Thanks to these projects, we are already present in 38 countries on almost all continents, confirming the universality and scalability of our machines. Canada and Uruguay are not just another dot on the map - they stand as proof of the effectiveness of our solutions in diverse industrial conditions.

Sapphire for Canadian industry

Canada, as a market with huge industrial potential, has just joined our portfolio. The first cutting machine was installed at the customer’s facility through cooperation with a new distributor in the region. This is a very important step – both for us and for Kjellberg Technology, which is conquering new markets together with us. The model delivered is a Sapphire with an impressive working area of 3000 x 10000 mm, equipped with a state-of-the-art Kjellberg Q3000 plasma power source and a Vortex 3D FL plasma cutting head.

Kjellberg Q3000 plasma power source:

  • cutting power up to 300 A (piercing up to 40 mm, cutting up to 80 mm),
  • Q-Desk platform for remote process management,
  • support for Contour Cut®, True Hole®, Silent Cut® technologies

Vortex 3D FL:

  • 3D cut with beveling (V, Y, K),
  • torch rotation ±540°, pivoting ±52°,
  • automatic calibration and height measurement.

This is a complete solution for plants that require highest precision and reliability.

Uruguay: Agat with the region's first Kjellberg K200 power source

South America is a region where we have been present for many years, but exporting to Uruguay opens up a new market for us in this part of the world. Thanks to close cooperation with our distributor in Chile, we have delivered an Agat machine there – one of our bestseller models, in a configuration with a working range of 2000 x 3000 mm and an HD3000 support. This realization marks the first time that the new Kjellberg K200 power source has been used.

Kjellberg K200:

  • Cutting range 1-60 mm at 200 A,
  • intuitive operation via K-Desk app,
  • compact design, low operating costs,

HD3000:

  • dynamic Z-axis control (servo drive + helical-ball gearbox),
  • intelligent cutting distance management (IDC),
  • 3-stage cathode monitoring (CLC),

This is the optimal solution for companies looking for efficient cutting at low cost and simplified operation.

Technology that works around the world

Each new country in our portfolio is a sign of confidence and proof of the effectiveness of our strategy for quality, innovation and customer service. The new deployments in Canada and Uruguay not only extend the global reach of Eckert's technology, but also demonstrate that our CNC systems work – regardless of production scale or geographic location. This is another step in building an international network of users of our automated industrial cutting solutions.
