Norwegian company IMO Sveiseindustri strengthens production with new Eckert Titan DrillCut machine
IMO Sveiseindustri invests in machinery expansion
Norwegian company IMO Sveiseindustri AS is investing in production expansion, deploying a new Eckert Titan DrillCut machine. The solution provided by the Eckert brand combines thermal cutting, drilling and tapping in a single system, increasing productivity, precision and flexibility in production processes.
The new machine is designed to process 3 × 12 m sheets and features a 5-axis plasma cutting system with a Vortex 3d head.

The system uses a Kjellberg Q4500 plasma source, enabling it to cut black steel up to 50 mm thick. The machine is also equipped with a gas torch for machining materials up to 300 mm thick, and a VarioDrill slide with automatic tool changing, allowing drilling, tapping and countersinking in a single process.
Integrating multiple operations in a single machine allows IMO Sveiseindustri to streamline production flow, reduce lead times, and increase efficiency in the use of material and production resources.
