Plasma cutting, oxygen cutting and mechanical drilling in one machine

Titan DrillCut is a new solution from Eckert that enables cutting operations as well as drilling, tapping and countersinking without changing workstations. The machine allows to automate processes and reduce the number of technological steps to a minimum.

Flexibility of cutting configuration: plasma, oxygen

This new solution from Eckert offers complete freedom in the choice of cutting technology. The user can configure the machine as needed - choosing between plasma cutting, oxygen cutting or a combination thereof. Expansion to multi-head multitorch oxyfuel configurations is also possible, increasing efficiency in batch cutting. The machine also supports beveling up to 45°, which allows the edge of the workpiece to be prepared for welding without additional operations.

Support VarioDrill

Compatible with Titan DrillCut, the VarioDrill system allows you to perform operations:

• drilling,
• threading,
• deepening holes,

Through the use of a mechanical drive and automatic tool changer, the process is fully automated and does not thermally affect the material, which is especially important when machining thick metal sheets.

Technical data of VarioDrill:

• Drills materials up to 200 mm thick
• Hole diameter: 6-40 mm
• Possibility to drill holes smaller than sheet thickness
• 6-position tool changer
• Automatic calibration and machining cycle

Process automation and safety

All operations - from cutting to hole preparation - are performed in a single pass. This reduces production time, reduces the risk of errors and increases the repeatability of parts.

The machine is equipped with a number of occupational safety solutions, including:

• light curtains,
• anti-collision bumpers,
• laser head visualization,
• drilling zone shielding,
